KitPvP was one of the gamemodes of Minecraft Central. It was added on the 25th of February 2014. The goal of KitPvP was to gain money from kills and with that money upgrade the weaponry and armour to get even better at PvP. There were 9 resets to the KitPvP servers. There used to be a total of 4 KitPvP servers, 3 of which were added on the 1st of March 2015. Starting from the 4th of February 2019 there was only one main lobby and one rotating map. KitPvP was removed on the 26th of August 2022.

General Info[]

Players killed other players to gain money, and using that money they could buy new armour and weaponry. There were 5 available kits, 3 of which were usable by everyone. These were the Kit Rookie, Kit Potions and Kit Hps. There was a main spawn, Storage Vaults and enchanting stations on KitPvP. There were a total of 8 maps.

The item selector of KitPvP was an Iron helmet. It used to be an Iron sword. The NPC in the Lobbies was a fighter with a Diamond sword in his hand.

Resets[]

The KitPvP servers were reset on the 14th of December 2015. This added 3 brand new maps and reset all the statistics and inventories of the players. This marked the start of KitPvP 2.0.

Another reset happened on the 2nd of December 2016 when KitPvP 3.0 was released. This reduced the number of KitPvP servers to 1 server that consisted of the main spawn and 3 maps. One of these maps was new, and both of the old maps were edited a bit. The shop was now located in the main spawn. In addition to this, an auction house was added. Kits were edited and repair signs were added to the shop.

The third reset happened on the 4th of October 2017 when KitPvP 4.0 was released. A new spawn and trading rooms were added and the amount of maps was reduced to one at a time. The map rotated from one map to another after each restart. A new scoreboard layout was introduced, telling the player their kill/death ratio. Loot protection was also added. In addition there were some bug fixes. On the 9th of October 2017 KOTH (King of the Hill) battles were added to KitPvP. The potion durations of Strength, Fire Resistance and Speed were changed to 8:00 instead of 3:00.

On the 22nd of June 2018 KitPvP 5.0 was released. A new map and a previous map, Mystic Shadows, were added. KitPvP levels were introduced, along with improved statistics, Storage Vaults, Wager Duels, a trading system and a shop GUI. Some kits and KOTH rewards were changed. Later this season Clans were added on the 4th of July 2018.

On the 4th of February 2019 KitPvP 6.0 was released. A new spawn was added, and the spawn was no longer divided into 3 copies. KitPvP now only had 1 global spawn. The map "Fantasy Village" was reintroduced and a system for map voting was added. Kit Daily was changed to Kit Hourly, coinflips were added and some new clans commands, such as "/clan tag" were added. A new event, Mob Madness was introduced. Some bugs were also fixed with the reset.

KitPvP 7.0 was released on the 31st of August 2019. A new spawn was added, along with a new map, called Seaside Valley. Coinflips were removed and many clan features were added. These included Clan Chests, Clan Banks, Allies and Clan Officers. The /chest plugin was updated, /fix command was made chargeable, money pouches added and Rename Scroll removed, /bottle command added for Coal rank and higher, /fly command added for Emerald rank and higher in spawn, enchantments on Mythical armour changed a bit, Custom Enchantments added and multiple bugs fixed.

KitPvP 8.0 was released on the 17th of April 2020. A new spawn was added and a toggle for the starter kit was added (/togglekit) that toggled if the player respawned with the kit or not. Multiple bugs regarding combat tag, particles and various server functionalities were fixed. /Fix was made free for Bedrock rank and higher, and 50% off for Gold to Bedrock rank. Cobwebs and tall plants were removed from the maps to make PvP easier. A change was made so that clan allies could no longer attack each other, /ec command was blocked in combat and a new clan upgrade for upgrading the clan chest size was added.

The 9th season, KitPvP 9.0, was released on the 19th of March 2021. A new spawn and a new map were added, called Treasure Island. Hobo Chests were added to spawn, and players could use them to leave items for other players. New features included an Item Filter (/filter), an /Events command, a new Assists statistic and new Clan features. These Clan features included Clan permissions, focusing on players and changes to Clan command outputs and Clan Upgrade prices. The shop prices were also updated. Two new events were also added: Envoys and Care Package. The enchantments of Event Armour and Items were also changed a bit.

On the 26th of February 2022 KitPvP 10.0 was released. It featured major changes in order to balance the gameplay for donators and Rookies. A new spawn was added, with multiple new features to display the top players. These included holograms for the top 10 players and a statue displaying the skin of the winner of the latest event, such as Brackets Tournament, a new KitPvP event. This event replaced the Mob Madness event. The donator board was replaced by NPCs displaying the perks of each donator rank. The donator perks were changed, as /fix was made available to all players and the donator kits were merged into the new Kit Premium. Kit Rookie was also buffed significantly. New features also included the Voting Villager, respawning at the map spawn after dying, a message in chat after a large bounty has been claimed and a new kit called Kit Hps. There were also some economy changes, such as the price of Splash Potions of Healing reduced from $3 to $1. The Clans also got a new permission for enabling Friendly Fire and Boosters made a return. In addition, a new anticheat was introduced. Lastly, a brand new feature called Battlepass was added. Players could get Emotes, Rank Symbols and more money from kills using the Battlepass.

Each KitPvP server used to have its own map. Starting from the 4th of February 2019 there was only 1 server with 1 map that rotated.

KitPvP Levels[]

The KitPvP levels went up to 250. To level up to level 2, the player needed to get 10 kills. It took 11 kills to become level 3, 12 to become level 4 and so on. So to get to level 250, the player needed 33,366 kills in total.

The level indicator in front of the name of the player changed colour every 50 levels.

Battlepass[]

Battlepass was introduced on the 26th of February 2022 when KitPvP 10.0 was released. Players could level up in the Battlepass by getting kills, and in turn they got rewards by reaching a certain level. These rewards were Emotes, Rank Symbols and Increased Kill Money.

Custom Enchants[]

Custom Enchants

Custom Enchants were added in KitPvP 7.0, on the 31st of August 2019. Players could add enchants to their armour and get effects that lasted as long as they kept that armour on. In order to get the Strength and Fire Resistance effects, the enchantment needed to be applied to all armour pieces. When buying Custom Enchants, players got 1 random book that they could drag onto the armour or sword in their inventory. Each Custom Enchant cost 45 EXP levels.
