Capture the Flag is one of the Minigames on Minecraft Central. It was released the 14th October 2014. It has 33 arenas and 13 maps. A maximum of 24 players can join a game, and 15 players are required to start the game.

The amount of required players used to be 15 but it was raised to 30 in 10th August 2017 when CTF was updated. In 12th September 2017 the required and maximum amount of players was changed to 24 from 30. On the 13th of March 2018 the requirement got changed to 15.

General Info

In Capture the Flag players' goal is to steal the other team's flag and return it to their own base. There are 2 teams, Red and Blue. Players get to choose their team in the parkour area but if the teams are uneven, the game will balance them automatically.

Players spawn with a stone sword, Infinity I and Power I bow and 1 arrow. There is a time limit of 900 seconds and if no one has captured the other team's flag when the game ends, the team with most kills wins.

The update of 10th August 2017 changed the waiting Lobby to a new one. The waiting Lobby was seen as too small, and it was quickly changed to a bigger one. The update also added a section to the scoreboard displaying how many kills each team has. Monthly leaderboards were also added, as part of the bigger Minigame revamp. In 12th August 2017 5 new maps were added and the map Land of Bones was changed a bit.

In 14th August 2017 map voting was added to Capture the Flag.
